Why is it that a new bar of soap is always so much soapier than an almost gone bar of soap? Is all the good stuff on the outside of the bar? I hate wasting that last sliver of soap but you can’t get anything clean with it! What’s up with that?

Totally with ya on the soap. My dad used to (attempt to) merge the sliver with the new bar. I just chuck it in the trash.
