Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy…

Ain’t It Cool News just reported that there could be up to 60 different robots in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

I think I just geeked a little in my pants.

For Fans of The Knife:

This band called We Are The World friended me today on MySpace, and while I normally ignore such things there is something really kickass about this band. If The Knife made high energy dance music it would probably sound like this. Check out a song from their live show below and be sure to check out some higher quality samples of their songs on their MySpace page. Unfortunately they don’t have any MP3s that I know of out there in the webbernet, but if any pop up I’ll be sure to let you know.

[UPDATE: I did manage to find one MP3 off of the Perfect as Cats: A Tribute to The Cure compilation, a cover of Why Can’t I Be You?, that you can download here.]

Home Video

Thank you, thank you, thank you Gossip Girl for letting me know that there was new Home Video music out there to be had. If you don’t already know this band you should absolutely check them out. I fell in love with their first EP years ago and their first full length album is just as awesome. Apparently there is a new EP that you can download for free just for registering at their website. Do it. This band is hot.

A Public Service Announcement

If you are like me, then you like to sleep around the internet. We live in a world where anything you want is a few keystrokes and Google searches away. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t practice safe searching. It’s a different time and age from that era in the long ago 90’s when you could just ignore emails from your friends with attachments, um, attached and expect to keep your computer safe.

That’s why you should keep your computer safe with http://www.malwarebytes.org . I had an evil spyware worm pop-up bastard that threatened to take my computer down for good. My other anti-spyware programs weren’t working and seemed ignorant to the threat. Malwarebytes found 56 infected pieces of code, most of which I didn’t even know were there!

So the lesson kids is to practice safe surfing. Before you search sketchy Spanish blogs for cheap (free) albums that haven’t even been released yet, make sure you suit up with Malwarebytes.

Because knowing is half the battle.

That’s My Apartment!

SEATTLE — Police here are searching for a man suspected in an armed robbery of a Rite-Aid pharmacy in West Seattle on Friday night.

Investigators said the situation began when an armed man robbed the pharmacy at California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dawson around 9 p.m.

A witness said the man then ran out of the store, fled across the street and went into a neighboring apartment complex.

Officers shut down several neighboring blocks and began combing the area. They also evacuated the complex, and brought in a Metro Transit bus to help keep those residents warm.

Police searched the complex, but did not find the suspect. They took several people in for questioning, but said they do not have a suspect in custody.

Around 11 p.m., police reopened the streets and allowed residents back into their homes.

A description of the suspect was not available.

——-

Here’s what I saw: A cop car pulled into the back alley, and shone his spot light into the windows of the two apartment buildings (my apartment included). One cop stood by the car while the other with raised shotgun walked to the other building (which is the one I think that they evacuated). I couldn’t see much from my apartment, but I was doing laundry at the time and walked to the front of the building where I could see a K9 unit and SWAT team van. Later police helicopters made a few passes. Unfortunately I didn’t see any action, although that would have been pretty cool.
