If you are like me, then you like to sleep around the internet. We live in a world where anything you want is a few keystrokes and Google searches away. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t practice safe searching. It’s a different time and age from that era in the long ago 90’s when you could just ignore emails from your friends with attachments, um, attached and expect to keep your computer safe.
That’s why you should keep your computer safe with http://www.malwarebytes.org . I had an evil spyware worm pop-up bastard that threatened to take my computer down for good. My other anti-spyware programs weren’t working and seemed ignorant to the threat. Malwarebytes found 56 infected pieces of code, most of which I didn’t even know were there!
So the lesson kids is to practice safe surfing. Before you search sketchy Spanish blogs for cheap (free) albums that haven’t even been released yet, make sure you suit up with Malwarebytes.
Because knowing is half the battle.
