The year is still young, but I’m already 100% confident that Toro y Moi’s new album, ‘Anything In Return’ is going to be on a lot of Best Albums of 2013 lists. Start to finish, this album is pure amazing. I’ve already listened to it four times through and I love it more and more each time that I listen to it. I have to share with you the official videos for the first two singles off the album, “Say That” and “So Many Details”. Of the two, “Say That” has a French House feel, while “So Many Details” has more of a relaxed 70’s Euro-vibe. So good.
Finally I have a fan vid by blog favorite David Dean Burkhart for “Cola”, composed of footage taken from soft drink, liquor, and perfume commercials from the 80’s and 90’s. The content taken from those commercials perfectly fits with the song’s sexy atmosphere. This is easily one of my favorite Burkhart videos in a while, and it’s actually the song that inspired me to download ‘Anything In Return’ and start listening to it in the first place.
