If you’re looking for the perfect soundtrack to go with footage of stormy summer weather on the East Coast of Australia, then you could do a lot worse than use an Active Child song. This video for “Johnny Belinda” is one of those rare videos that is both visually and audibly stunning in every way. There aren’t many bands that can rock out with a harp, but Active Child pulls it off beautifully.

Have you heard Ellie Goulding’s version of Active Child’s Hanging On? Tinie Tempeh makes an appearance. I have one of his albums and like him, but I kind of wish she’d left him off this song. It’s wonderful, though. Active Child put the link up on his facebook page, so he seemed to like it.
Yeah, but I don’t really like it. It takes everything that’s original and unique about the original version of the song and makes it sound pretty much like everything else on the radio. Not nearly enough harp, if you ask me.
