Today I opened my email to see a message from Gold Panda announcing that their new album, Lucky Shiner, came out today, and then I went to my favorite blog, Disco Naïveté, and noticed that they had a new music video up for the single, "Snow and Taxis". I’ve quickly become a big fan of Gold Panda (I put their song "You" on my last mixtape) and I’m really excited about this new album. While I haven’t yet found the album to download (oh, I’ll find you soon enough!) you can stream it here.

I have watched the video though, and while I’m not quite moved by its beautiful images, I do like the song. It actually does make me think of snow, with the ringing bells, and taxis, with its frenetic pace reminding me of taking a taxi in the city in wintertime, making me wish the video was a little more on the nose.
