I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight. If you didn’t already have plans to go see this, make them. Batman Begins was probably the best superhero movie out there when it came out, but it is nothing compared to this. Wow. Consider my mind blown. Batman has never been cooler.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie that really made me feel the joy that is going to going to the movies. The Dark Knight is that movie. I had to pull myself away from getting right back in line to see it again, it was that good.

No kidding. TDK is a big step up from Batman Begins, which was already one of the better superhero movies. The location shooting, the greater emphasis on Gordon, the introduction of Dent and the way it brings the Bruce/Rachel relationship to life (and Maggie Gylenhaal helps a lot too), the Joker, and that ending… what a great fucking movie.
Just as this year’s crop of summer movies was starting to wear me down, I saw Wall-E, Hellboy II, and The Dark Knight in the span of about six days. Definitely turned my movie-frown upside down. (Josh)
