Go to Bisbee, Arizona and take a trip into the mines. I have no idea what it’s like now, since I was there about 15 years ago… but there were these kind of tours then. Also, I remember Bisbee being somewhat cold in the middle of August, so that’s something.
Also the painted desert, also the petrified forest, also the goddamn grand canyon.
