Things are starting to look brighter in my future. I think I’m actually going to apply for that job after all, and just see what happens.

  1. I think that this will be an awesome opportunity for you. Seattle is amazing, and I know you will do well there. You have that knack, I think. Plus what an adventure!

*I meant to post that yesterday, but I wasn’t happy. 🙂

You are so young, and smart, and creative, you really do need to branch out while you can. I traveled the whole US eastern coast before I was 22. Go for it. Your mother will be sad, but she will adjust. Letting go, I hear, is the toughest thing for a mother to do.

    Damn man! GO. 😀

Yeah, man, go for it. Gotta get out of Hoosick Falls eventually. Of course that will make swinging by on the random weekend a little more difficult…

    • Eh, not like it has been all that easy thus far, with my shit schedule and everything, but I definitely know what you are talking about. There is a certain amount of missing friends, even if you don’t see them that often. Hell, Harry has been gone two weeks and already I miss not being able to go to the movies with him (in a totally non-gay way, of course!)

    I think that’s a great idea!

I wouldn’t worry too much about the money . . . the big expense will be the apartment, and the truck to get there. But if you get people to help you pack up and load the truck, drive yourself to Seattle . . . and have a job once you get there? You’ll be all set! Start saving right now! (ING was a great suggestion).

As for furniture and all that, everybody knows someone who’s getting rid of a couch or bed or table . . . just ask around. You can always live barebones for awhile.

(Also, would living with your relatives be an option for a month or two? I did that before I got my apartment . . . didn’t want to stay too long, but it was a good temporary solution).

    • Well, there is always the possibility that I might be able to live with the relatives for a little while, but that wouldn’t make too sense since they live in Olypmpia and I’d have to drive to Seattle every day for work. Doing that for more than a couple days would be a massive pain in the ass.

Is it bad that whenever someone starts talking about saving money I hear the teacher’s voice from Peanuts?
