Last night I could not for the life of me figure out who Michael was calling to invite to take that trip to Sandles, Jamaca with him. Then this morning it came to me, as if God himself were smacking me upside the head and calling me an idiot. Duh, it was Jan!

Is it just me, or does this seem to be the crazier “Will they or won’t they?” than the whole Jim/Pam thing?
Speaking of which, jeez, Jim. You think you could at least pretend to like Karen just a little bit longer before falling in love with Pam again? All it takes is one CIA practical joke Christmas present and you turn back into mush again. Much like poor Roy.
And poor Toby. Was anyone else surprised that when Michael was told that they were missing one robe from the giftbags that Michael without hesitation told Dwight to take it from Toby? “Why?”

I’m not sure that the Pam-Jim-Karen triangle is finished yet.
And Jan is the obvious choice for that phone call. I don’t think it’s Jan at all. I can’t believe she would say “yes.”
Some other suggestions I’ve heard: Todd Packer (my choice), or his mom.

Oh, it’s not finished by a long shot. But come on! You can tell Jim is faltering already. It’s too soon! We haven’t even gotten to see him and Karen in full relationship mode yet.
OK, watch that clip of Michael asking the other person on the other line to go to Sandles with him. Now tell me that he is talking to Todd Packer. No way in hell. He doesn’t talk to Packer like that. He’s obviously talking to someone he doesn’t expect to accept the offer.
His mom is my other guess, if not Jan, but it HAS to be Jan. She’s been carrying a torch for him forever, God knows why. I don’t think there is any debate over whether or not it is Jan. It’s Jan. It’s either Jan or someone we’ve never seen before.
