Who’s that Band?

Does anyone know who does that song in the Zune commercial, the one that…damn, I forgot the exact lyrics, but it has something to do with Saturday night, but really liking Sunday morning, and the commercial ends with a whole crowd at a concert dancing together and has a female drummer smacking her drumsticks together over her head? Any help in acquiring the name of the band would be extremely appriciated. I could probably find it myself, but the speed of my internet at home means that attempting such a task would more than likely lead to madness. Hysterical blindness, at least.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY, or TOFURKEY DAY, as the case may be…

  1. I believe the band is CSS, and the song is
Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex

    • OK, thank you, very thorough, but wrong song. I actually have CSS’s CD, I’m listening to the song right now, and that is really not it. Wrong version of the Zune commercial. I believe that the band at the end of my commercial is CSS, in fact I know that Zune has been courting them for marketing and concerts to promote their product, but they aren’t the ones playing the song in this different Zune commercial that I’m more familiar with. This song has a dude singing the vocals.

Again, the important detail is that the guy is singing about how great it is when Saturday night ends so that Sunday morning can come around…or something like that.

      • you can also look in the social room to view the video’s of new commercials.

Do you remember what was happening in the ad?

      • OK, I went into the social room and watched all twenty videos that you could stream. I’d never seen any of them before, which makes me think they are web only. I don’t know if the downloadable ones are any different, because I didn’t dare to do so at work and I can’t really do that at home with the ol’ dialup. So, I’m still stuck. I tried listening to some of the music on their artists page, but so far no luck.

The video: It starts off with college kids using Zune to share their music, it looks like on a grassy college campus lawn. Then we move towards what looks like people waiting in line for a concert, still using their Zune. There is that one blonde girl blowing a kiss at the camera (I’ve seen her in other commercials.) Then they are inside the concert, with everyone doing an almost hoe down type square dance. The final shot is of a girl cracking drumsticks over her head. I already told you how the lyrics go. Trust me, if you find the right song you’ll know what I’m talking about, because the lyrics are basically the same thing over and over again, about how great Sunday morning is. It’s got a light, bubbly beat to it, kinda dancy. I’ve seen the commercial countless times at the movie theater, and once or twice at home.

  2. oh and CSS is for Cansei de Ser Sexy

  3. “Sunday Morning” by K-OS

    • Has anyone told you lately how awesome you are? Because you are totally awesome. Yep, that’s the song. I was worried at first, because it didn’t quite sound like the right song at first, because the part that is in the commercial is right at the end. Very cool. How’d you find it?

      • I joined several Zune blogs, asked questions, then added in the Sunday Morning bit to my questions, then got it. Took longer than I thought it would. I am researcher. It’s part of what I do. 🙂

I am so happy I could find it for you!

      • Aren’t you crafty? Honestly, thanks again for going above and beyond the call of duty. Ah, the things I could only do with highspeed internet.
