So I watch The OC now.
Not really sure how that one happened. One day I was knocking it for its 90210, let’s hit everyone in Orange County qualities, and the next thing I know I’m sitting there watching it. I blame Entertainment Weekly. Damned if they don’t plug it every week. So I watch it now.
And I love it.

wasn’t it just the greatest when ryan ran into the room all sweaty and everything and time stood still and he was out of breath and said i love you and and and… man. that’s good television.
I don’t know how I got sucked in, but my lustful craving for guilty pleasure television got the best of me. What can I say, I love that stuff. If you can make fun of it AND have a good time watching it, that’s what I’m all about.
I’m not sure I got the same level of enjoyment out of Ryan’s entrance as you did, but I did love the slow motion confetti kiss. That just looked cool. But no, for me the big moment was when the nerdy kid got it on with the hot blond girl. I was totally rooting for her over Summer. Summer just looks like a skank.
But yeah, I wish I started watching sooner. I just wish the show didn’t start its promotions with Ryan hitting everyone. That totally turned me off. It looked dumb. Little did I know that the other kid was funny, liked comic books, and managed to snag two hot girls. Join me in the club!
i totally cannot fathom my love for ryan. he’s not attractive at all. must be the rebel quality. i also like that wristband on his arm.
i also agree about summer. i HATE her. i think she should die. i’m ok with anna, even if she wears too much makeup. she did make that comic book for him.
The thing about Ryan is that he’s actually a lot more interesting when he talks than when he’s hitting people. He’s got a really cool voice and great facial expressions.
Anna is totally cooler than Summer. And I was really pissed when the Entertainment weekly article had the four main teens and not Anna. Why not? What does Summer have that she doesn’t? Does EW know something we don’t?
She does wear too much makeup though. ALthough everyone in Orange County seems to have that problem…
Anna is totally cooler for making the comic book. Summer is unbelievably hot in the Wonder Woman costume, but come on, how long is that train going to last? Go with the girl that can go the distance!
well, summer is in the beginning credits. so it’s possible that she will last longer than anna, or that she joined the cast before anna.
Hmm….her family is a major part of the plot, isn’t it? Anyway, let’s hope Anna stays for the long haul.
