OK, I just saw The Matrix Revolutions. Expect a big review for the Monday Movie Review, but I thought since it is the Matrix, I’d give you a little sneak peak today:
Watching the final chapter of the Matrix trilogy is a lot like the satisfaction of finishing a good book. No actual revalations or special things really happen. But you finished the book dammit, and that’s all that matters. At least it isn’t dog eared and sitting at the top of your book shelf. At least it wasn’t all a dream.

Actually, in my opinion, a good book better damn well have a good ending. Good in craft, at the very least…. And I’ve been hearing a lot of bad things about Revolutions. Last night, Joyce Kulhawik on the CBS local news (yes, she IS an authority — NEVER DOUBT THAT) totally tore it to pieces and said it was the least revolutionary of the three, despite the title.
OK, I won’t force a review from you until Monday.
Maybe I’ll see it myself.
Maybe I’ll just do my work….
The way I describe it is that it is amazing and disappointing all at the same time, and yeah, it is the least revolutionary of the three. Still worth seeing if you’ve seen the other two, but not exactly everything you were hoping for and more. Details come Monday (mainly because that’s movie review day, but also because I haven’t actually written my review yet.)
