(Side note: When this album came out I was walking around Easy Street Records browsing while the record played on the PA system. When this song came on everyone in the room quizzically looked up at the same time from whatever they were doing to look around at everyone else, like “Are you hearing what I’m hearing?”)

It’s no secret that I love genre movies, and even more than that I love it when genre movies mess around with the conventions of that genre. Enter Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, what looks like a great spoof of the crazy rednecks in the woods slasher movie. Looks very promising and funny. Check it out:

Battlestar Rhapsody
All of those fans of Battlestar Galactica and Queen finally have a reason to mix their chocolate in with their peanut butter. This is pretty hilarious, but be warned: If you haven’t seen all of the show yet it does contain plenty of spoilers, so viewers beware.

Merry Christmas, Here’s a Video! (Oh No Ono – Swim)
Here’s a Christmas present for me that I thought I’d share with you. Not only is this song beautifully amazing, but the video for it is like this genius little short film. It’s stylishly shot, a little weird, but it perfectly captures what it is like to be that age. Plus, the boy in it looks like the kid from Let the Right One In crossed with the kid from the Shining. Album out January 26th.

Star Wars Episode One Review
This is a part one of a pretty amazing 70 minute review of Star Wars Episode One. You may think, “Why would I ever want to watch a 70 minute review of that piece of crap? Trust me, it’s worth every minute. Not only is it really funny, but the reviewer very slyly makes some amazing points about storytelling and film making. All screenwriters should have to watch this before making up some crazy, nonsensical story.
