Anyone else surprised that Rumsfeld resigns at almost the same moment that the Democrats take over the House and Senate? Can we say “cut and run”?
PS: My internet still sucks at home.

ah the news
They keep saying resigned, but when I watched the meeting with Rumsfield and Bush, then the introduction to the “new guy”, Rumsfield was fired. Not resigning. Bush should have done that a while ago, when Rumy DID try to resign, but whatever. The Dems take control. Now let’s see if they can fix the problems.
Re: ah the news
Yeah, he was definitely asked (told) to resign. Funny thing is… it probably would have helped the Republicans more if they had fired him BEFORE the election.

Re: ah the news
You are definitely one to something there, Bill, that it would have helped them in the election. Of course then they also might have had to admit that they were wrong, and we all know that that’ll never happen.
