So our Assistant Manager announced the other day that he was leaving. This is a little sad, in that we never seem to keep a full staff for very long, he’s leaving right before our busiest time of the year, and with him leaving it just means that we will have to work a little harder while trying to find and then train a new guy.

With that said, I’m now in consideration for Assistant Manager. I have an interview sometime next week. Which is awesome. I’ve wanted this job for a while. Since, oh, say the last time it was available. It’s good to know I’m actually going to be considered this time. I don’t really see a downside to getting the job either. I get a pay raise for doing pretty much the job I’ve been doing, plus a tiny bit extra. Jeff would most probably move into my job, which would make us all basically the greatest management team ever. Plus, I could stop tearing my hair out over the current Assistant Manager, who gets under my skin like no other. It’s not even like he’s a bad guy. We just don’t get along. It’s like I finally met my complete opposite in life. It’s freaky deaky.
