I received the following email message our of the blue from my cousin yesterday:

hi it susan….. ur email name is so werid

That’s it. No subject line or anything. I’m not really sure if I’m suppose to respond to that or not? Is it just a statement? An opening to conversation? What?

I know it’s weird. That’s why I picked it.

I take special pleasure knowing that I’ve gotten my sister into bands like M83, Home Video, Bent, Annie and The Arcade Fire. There is some amazing power you have introducing someone else to something they otherwise never would have approached on their own. If only you all lived closer, I could corrupt all of you and become mad with power.
